PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances)

PFAS, also known as forever chemicals, are of increasing concern in New Hampshire and have been linked to adverse health impacts in people. These chemicals are found in a variety of household products used to repel stains, prevent materials from burning (flame retardants), non-stick cookware, shampoo and other products, and are used in industrial processes as well.
