Lake Host Program

Lake Hosts greet visiting boaters at five boat launches around Lake Sunapee and perform courtesy boat inspections to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive speciesClick here for more information about this program. Contact us if you are interested in volunteering for this program.

 
 

Engineers

We sometimes need assistance with projects such as maintaining/repairing the lighthouse lighting systems and the communication system between the LSPA Buoy and our main computer server.  Contact us for more information.

 
 

Water quality Monitor

A water monitor takes periodic water quality samples from designated tributaries in the Lake Sunapee Watershed and nearshore samples from within Lake Sunapee. Samples are taken to LSPA’s Water Quality Lab at Colby Sawyer College.

 
 

Divers

We occasionally need divers to assist in areas such as invasive species surveying and checking the mooring anchor of the water quality buoy.  Contact us for more information.

 
 

Cyanoscope project

Help LSPA identify and monitor cyanobacteria in Lake Sunapee.
