School Programs

LSPA school programming has been in existence for over 20 years in the role of supporting area schools. Programs are offered in the classroom, in the field, or at the LSPA Learning Center.

LSPA school programs are designed to meet specific learning objectives at each age level. Lessons offer hands-on learning, techniques for observing the natural world, and opportunities to explore the out of doors.

Programs can be tailored to meet specific classroom criteria, dynamics and special needs.

Community, Family, Homeschool Programs

LSPA provides programs for community libraries, after-school programs, homeschool groups, daycare facilities, Boy and Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, camps, 4H Clubs, and other similar organizations.

Each program is crafted to meet the specific needs of that particular group.  We work with every group to develop an environmental  lesson that pertains to the direct focus or needs of that group.

Programs are approximately an hour long.

Kids’ Ecology Corner

On LSPA’s Kids’ Ecology Corner you can find a variety of seasonal topics! Learn more about each of these specific topics through our virtual stories, on-line resources, additional books to read, downloadable prints and more! With the Ecology Corner kids (and adults) can make wonder-filled connections to our natural world.
