Black Bears

Autumn is when NH's black bears are scouring their territories for food and piling on the pounds for winter. Bears are opportunistic and omnivores. So, be mindful that bird feeders, trash cans, and compost piles will all attract a bear and, if you continue to offer it to them, have them coming back for more.
